Iconic gatherings…rooted in Bailey’s foothills
The Colorado Nature & Heritage Foundation, in partnership with the Berger Land Co. manages private events on the historic Esterbrook Ranch—comprising roughly 1,980 acres along Craig Creek in Park County, Colorado.
A new steward for an old piece of ground
The Colorado Nature & Heritage Foundation was formed to continue the tradition of opening up a working piece of the Colorado foothills to the public — for hikes, gatherings, and events that connect people to the land and to its history. We plan and manage events on property held by Berger Land Co. in Bailey, working to keep it accessible while respecting the place it has always been.
The property sits in the foothills of the Front Range, in Park County, where the North Fork of the South Platte River cuts through forested slopes on its way toward Denver. The land which includes the historic Esterbrook Ranch —comprising roughly 1,980 acres along Craig Creek—was acquired and expanded across generations since the late 19th century by the Berger family to preserve the surrounding land.
